Dr. Dinu S Chandran completed Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Physiology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He is currently working as an Additional Professor at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. As an academician and researcher his major research area includes working on human arterial physiology with special focus on development of non-invasive techniques for assessment of vascular ageing. His envisioned long-term goal is development of screening techniques to detect early vascular ageing in younger, apparently healthy population so that appropriate primary prevention strategies could be instituted for a better life course trajectory of cardiovascular health. Investigations into the physiology of arterial wall mechanics and endothelial function and its derangement in various disease conditions are core areas of interests.
