Speaker Bio

Dr. Jayaraj Joseph is an Assistant Professor at Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He completed B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation 2006, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2011. His doctoral research involved design of transducers and sensor systems for non-invasive evaluation of arterial stiffness for cardiovascular screening. He is currently the Systems Architect at HTIC, IIT Madras and deals with hardware projects involving sensors and instrumentation, system integration and medical device development. His main research interests apart from biomedical instrumentation include automated test and measurement, virtual instrumentation, and renewable energy resources.
