Speaker Bio

Dr. Elisabetta Bianchini is a Researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR) with 16 years of experience in the field of ultrasound imaging and vascular ageing. She has high interest for technology transfer and believes in the added value of a multidisciplinary approach for problem solving. Elisabetta received her Master Degree in Electronic Engineering and her PhD in “Automation, Robotics and Bio-engineering” at the university of Pisa. In 2011 she received her certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship at Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University (CA, USA) under the Fulbright BEST program. In the same year she co- founded Quipu, a high- tech spin-off company of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and University of Pisa dedicated to the development of a software for the assessment of vascular parameters by ultrasound imaging analysis. One of her main responsibilities in this entrepreneur project has been the implementation and maintenance of regulatory and quality standards requirements of the software medical device. Elisabetta is also the vice- chair of VascAgeNet.
